The program also presents clear evidence about interventions that support the best possible brain growth and development in preterm infants.

The program is specifically tailored to meet continuing education needs for caregivers who work with preterm infants and their families in hospital settings. It can be viewed in its entirety or one chapter at a time.

Chapter 3 reviews the interconnected relationships that support preterm infant care in thr NICU. Staff relationships, relations that the staff form with infants, the ones between the NICU staff and parents, and the relationship between infant and parents that is continuing to unfold, building on what began in utero.
